We know it is not quite spooky season yet, but it sure is a spooky day to some; Friday the 13th. In light of this, we decided to make a spooky comp to highlight

Todays competition is a writing competition that will last only 24 hours and the voting will be after. We will have to go through all the submissions manually so it will take a while before voting starts!

What type of writing competition you may be asking?

Well, you have to write a scary story in only 5 words! We thought this would be a fun competition and a nice change of pace from the usual outfit competitions.

Rules:

• Your story HAS to be exactly 5 words. It cannot be more or less. You are allowed to "merge" words, such as "should've" or "wasn't", which counts as ONE word. The merged "words" of course has to make grammatical sense, you are not allowed to just combine random words together such as "bloodyfullmoon" or "shouldvegotten" etc.
• It has to be a scary story! Please do not write love stories, comedy, or anything in between or you may be disqualified!
• The story has to follow the ROC. Since it is a "scary" competition, you may write about violence/crimes as long as it is not extreme.
• Gore is NOT allowed to be written about.

Disqualifying:

We will NOT be disqualifying stories if they are exactly the same. The competition is only 5 words, so it is a given that some stories may repeat, but our recommendation is do NOT post your comp submission in the comments! If you want to keep yours original, do not post about it in the comments. It may get used by another user. Please keep your story to yourself!
